Comanche was rescued during the Summer of 2025. Unfortunately, his story is one of human neglect that is all too common in the equine world. Comanche’s former owners left him and another horse named Apache alone in a pasture with no care for over 2 years. After many neighbors reported the situation, the owners finally agreed to relinquish both animals to Saving Gracie. Sadly, Apache required euthanasia after it was discovered that he had cancer that had spread throughout his body. Comanche has extremely advanced arthritis that has permanently changed his gait, but he receives the highest quality care, and he will have safety and love forever.
