Socks has been at Gracie’s before we officially came a rescue. Socks was abandoned in 2008. She had been pregnant but lost her baby in a horrible accident. When she first came to su, she was very fearful and stoic. She won’t look at us and didn’t seem to want any affection. Over time, she learned to trust us and was a trail horse for several years. When she started getting neck issues it was uncomfortable for her to be ridden. Now Socks lives with her retired rescue friends and works as one of our Rescue Rehab Horses.
